Britney Spears Isn’t Impressed by Ariana Grande’s Impression of Her: ‘I’ve Heard Better’

Not the worst, not yet the best. Britney Spears revealed in a new interview that she was not impressed by Ariana Grande’s impression of her during a March 2016 episode of Saturday Night Live.

The pop diva, 34, was asked her thoughts about the recent slew of celebrities who have tried to mimic her distinctive voice — namely 23-year-old Grande — during an interview with London’s KISS FM UK radio station on Wednesday, September 28. Listen to what she said in the clip above!

After hearing audio from the “Problem” singer’s SNL skit — in which she belted out “…Baby One More Time” in Spears’ characteristically breathy tone — the superstar could only manage to say, “That’s funny. That’s really funny, wow.”

Pressed further about her opinion of Grande’s parody, the Grammy winner bluntly admitted, “I’ve heard better.”

The former Broadway star previously impersonated Spears while playing Wheel of Musical Impressions with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in September 2015.

While Spears was clearly unaffected by the Nickelodeon alum’s efforts, she did say that she is a fan. “She’s very good. … I love her voice. It’s very smooth,” the mom of two added. “Her real voice.”

She may have love for Grande, but the music magnate recently said that another pop starlet inspired her latest album, Glory: Selena Gomez.

“I just love her music,” Spears told the Belfast Telegraph on Wednesday. “I think she’s really great. So I was really, really inspired by her work.”
