Officially Mr. and Mrs. King! Best night ever! Photo Credit: Jonas Peterson
Mrs. King has arrived! One day after tying the knot in New Orleans, Candice Accola and The Fray’s Joe King shared their first wedding pictures via Instagram. The intimate black-and-white snapshots showed the newlyweds getting emotional during one of their first dances as husband and wife and of kissing in front of their elated guests.
The Vampire Diaries actress, 27, looked beautiful in a Monique Lhuillier gown while the groom donned a Tom Ford tux. Going with tradition of a “French Quarter Wedding,” the Mr. and Mrs. kicked off their reception celebration with a line parade in the streets.
“Officially Mr. and Mrs. King! Best night ever!” Accola wrote. In a second pic, King gushed over his new bride. “My wife, she makes me wanna dance,” the 34-year-old wrote. The couple — who met at the DirecTV’s Celebrity BeachBowl in 2012 — were surrounded by family and friends as they swayed below a rustic tree setting and chandeliers.
Several of Accola’s TVD costars attended the intimate destination wedding, including creator Julie Plec, Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert), Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett), Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood), Claire Holt (Rebecca) and Kayla Ewell (Vicki Donovan), who was a bridesmaid. Ian Somerhalder sent a sweet message via Instagram in his absence.
Caricamento in corso
During the weekend’s festivities, Accola’s CW pals posted their whereabouts around Big Easy. “What’s up New Orleans!?!?!? My first time in your city. Let’s play,” Trevino tweeted Saturday. “I’m out here walking these streets eating gator on a stick with @KatGraham. #NewOrleans.”
Graham posted a picture of said alligators, and of a band playing nearby. “‘N’awlins’ New Orleans, LA,” she captioned. Wesley did the same with another local band, as Hoult posted a picture of her wedding outfit.

New Orleans. I have arrived.
Plec, for her part, appeared to describe Accola’s special day perfectly. She tweeted: “Vampire Wedding. Spectacular.”
