Donald Trump Blasts Irate Jet Blue Flight Attendant

America may be embracing JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater, who famously quit his job this week during an expletive-ridden rant on a loudspeaker.
Celebrity Apprentice host Donald Trump isn't.
"What he did was despicable," he tells The Insider. "I think as an employee he's horrible and as an employer I would really go after him big."
Trump says it is wrong that people are "celebrating" Slater "who could have caused a major catastrophe and who is obviously not very stable. I think he's a wacko. I think he had a [disagreement] with someone close to him and he let it out on the passengers. I don't think he's a hero, and I don't think he's going to be a folk hero for very long. I think we should stop celebrating him pretty quickly."

Meanwhile, several passengers on the Slater's plane tells the Wall Street Journal he was the one who instigated the ugly confrontation that led to his nasty departure.
When one passenger asked Slater where her bag was stowed, he spewed an expletive before storming off.
Said a witness, It really blew my mind. It was so inappropriate."

105They look like brothers! Neither is newsworthy!!
the pure fact that this Slater has been considered a hero, is so wrong. Where is this country headed? it's scary. Slater should not be in the news any more. it is ridiculous, what he did was unprofessional.
Jillian you are half right...having met both of them in person I would say that Ivanka is rather impressive (not to mention smart, beautiful and very tall)...on the other hand Donald Jr. would be a snowboard instructor if he were someone else's kid. He's a moron.
Trump is 100% correct. This guy is VERY unstable and should not be held up as a national hero. Say what you want about Trump but he has managed to raise hard working kids who don't get into trouble.
I think that Donald Trump should be the last to comment on someone's obnoxious behavior!
Donald Trump called the 2008 financial meltdown an "act of God" (more like an act of thousands like him) in a counter-suit against Deutsche Bank...filed because he didn't feel like repaying a $40 million loan. His companies have filed for bankruptcy multiple times. I worked for one of them and it was egregiously mismanaged. Trump sells his name indiscriminately, putting it on everything from crappy neckties to bottled water. The guy is full of sh*t. Even if the flight attendant was out of line, at least he's real...and pretty damn funny.
Finally, I couldn't agree more. THANK YOU Mr. Trump. He's a NUT-JOB, plain and simple. He's going to have to pay up big time, especially to jetBlue. Hopefully he'll spend time in jail. He knows his actions were without a doubt absolutely unsafe, and unacceptable. What this customer "supposedly" did is also unacceptable. However, he should have never left PIT. He should have asked to receive medical attention before continuing with boarding, and he knows that. And, maybe, just maybe, ALL this could have been avoided. He does NOT deserve to be called a hero! Three words for you Steven: karma's a b****!
I have had some very disgruntled air hostesses.. when I was one we were called Stewardesses. We were kind, sweet, engaging and loved our jobs. NOW, when I fly I see a lot of the workers on the airplane are angry, uptight, hate their menial jobs, and take it out on the passengers. They can be downright mean !!!!! if they hate their job so much, DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON US PASSENGERS. traveling is HARD ENOUGH..
That wasn't right of him, but people seriously need to learn how to treat others right. I don't blame him for getting pissed off.
I agree with Donald on the fact this guy shouldn't be considered a hero. I realize customer service isn't an easy field to be in but he could have waited until the passengers got off the plane and let off some steam. How would this guy have felt if he was a passenger and a flight attendant just lost it? He's going to have a tough time finding another job and he'll be lucky not to get jail time
it's much harder to turn the other cheek and be professional when dealing w/problem customers--a 7 yr. old can throw a fit and cuss at somebody-what's heroic about that?
Kudos to you-it's a matter of professionalism--
Wow-you flight attendants do have issues--relax...BREATHE..it's not that serious...
Oh Tim, I forgot to reply to part of your attack on me. Your comment " I suppose her ideal employee would be a snivelling syncophant with no human depth, who is perfectly happy to treat everyone around them like pampered babies. Is that how you see true proffessionals? Have you ever worked in customer service? That is not how I operate.
Comment directed at A mean-spirited female named Lori, doubtless HR or middle managemet, wrote a very typical comment: " Lets see how that Cocky little arrogant attitude changes when Mr. Slater is standing in the unemployment line. I would guess to bet he will no longer find what he did amusing." I suppose her ideal employee would be a snivelling syncophant with no human depth, who is perfectly happy to treat everyone around them like pampered babies. This is truly the way to build a great country. Ah, the service economy, what depravities will you think of next? me by Tim My reply~ I am not in middle management, I am a former Flight Attendant from a major airline. I have also worked on the ground as a CSA, worked at car rental agencies, and as a hotel desk clerk. All jobs have been in customer service, and in every job, I have worked with difficult people. I have also worked with those who own or travel by private jet.I have worked personally with them, and have seen how they treat people, so feel qualified to knocked down the comments that some have directed towards Mr. Trump " Entitled People" being the ones who cause problems on commercial flights,or stick up for those who do. Oh, and by the way Tim, I attend school full-time finishing my degree, I am not in HR or middle management. I have been in customer service for along time and understand how to deal with people. I do not classify my passengers as "Entitled people" because they they are the customer and I the service worker, but as someone who paid money for a service I am to deliver the best I can. In the Customer Service field there will be difficult people, but if we handle situations in a proffessional manner, we do not make asses out of ourselves and thus draw bad publicity to our company. I am sure Mr. Slater had dreams of creating a situation that drew attention to himself; that is why he deployed the slide and took two beers with him on the way down. He has caused embarrassment to the flight attendant proffession! No one wants to fly with someone this unstable. People this unstable should not be in charge of someone's safety. Would you want the pilot flying your plane acting like this? P.S. I am not entitled and above you.. I work for $10 an hour, raising my kids, trying to finish my degree,so that I can secure my future. These "Entitled People" pay my wages and your too!
before some of you idiots give this guy a medal or something..go check out feedback from some of the other passengers on the plane that plan to give testimony that this guy had been very rude the entire time like he had a chip on his shoulder and had snapped at several passengers--guess a couple snapped back!!
Donald Trump is a dusche bag. Who cares what he says. This guy was feed up with the idiots of America and needed relief. Don't blame him for the dusche bags on the plane that think their better than everyone else, including you Donald Trump.
Donald Trump just wants to maintain the current power balance between almighty employers and oppressed or humiliated employees. Trump is just imagining every "lesser-than-thou" employee who has worked for him getting the balls to tell him what they really think of him instead of sycophantically sucking up to him in order to get ahead.
Anyone who has been in customer service longer than 6 months knows good and well that you leave your personal life at home. If he freaked out due to something personal, he shouldn't have brought it to work. If he freaked out because of the customer, he should have held it in until he was in a private place and let off some steam. He is not hero, he is an idiot that shouldn't be working in customer service. What's that staying? If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen.
Hero! You rock Dude! uuuhh Sharpie!
