All across America, people were baffled during the final debate between presidential nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton — especially after the GOP candidate called out “bad hombres” minutes into the heated exchange about immigration.

“We have to have strong borders,” Trump said during the debate in Las Vegas, before bringing up his idea of building a wall again. “Now, I want to build a wall, we need the wall.… One of my first acts will to be to get all of the drug lords — we have some bad, bad people in this country that have to go out, we’re going to get them out. We’re going to secure the border and once the border is secured, at a later date we will make a determination as to the rest … but we have some bad hombres here and we are going to get them out.”

Naturally, the Twitterverse didn’t take the comment lightly.
“Wait. Rewind. Did that racist just say ‘bad hombres’?” Greys Anatomy creator and Hollywood producer Shonda Rhimes tweeted, while Zach Braff joked: “Bad Hombres is a good band name. #debatenight.”
And, just so we’re all on the same page, as perfectly tweeted by @Betches: “What happens in Vegas will f‑‑k up your country for the rest of your goddamn life. #debatenight.”
