I got you babe! The iconic singer campaigned for Clinton in Miami, Florida, on November 7. In August, she slammed Trump during an event in Princetown, Massachusetts. "I just think he's a f—king idiot," she said at the time, via THR. "I just wish he would fall off the face of the earth."
The New Jersey native rocked out at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, with Clinton on the eve of the election on November 7. "Hillary’s candidacy is based on intelligence, experience, preparation and of an actual vision of America where everyone counts," he said on stage, via Rolling Stone. "Men and women, white and black, Hispanic and native. Where folks of all faiths and backgrounds can come together to address our problems in a reasonable and thoughtful way."
The funnyman channeled his inner millennial in a hilarious campaign video for Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 presidential election. “I’m Will Ferrell — actor, comedian and typical run-of-the-mill millennial,” the Saturday Night Live alum said in the clip while surrounded by teens and twentysomethings. “Looks like you just caught me hanging out with my squad.”
The Queen of Pop performed at a surprise rally to support Clinton at New York’s Washington Square Park on November 7. "This is a concert that is about unifying us, and it's about keeping America great, not making America great again," she told the crowd. "We're going to elect a president that does not discriminate."
“The smartest guy in the room is always her," the actor said in an ad campaign endorsing the Democratic nominee. "After she opens a can of whoopass, she always recycles the can. Her Secret Service code name is Hermoine — because she is a f--king wizard, she’s the most interesting woman in the world. I don’t always endorse candidates, but when I do they’re extraordinary.”
"She is incredibly prepared and smart on all of the issues," the Oscar-winning actress said in October 2016 while visiting Hillary Clinton's Pennsylvania campaign office. "She has really strong plans, in terms of the economy, extending health care even further, making education more affordable, making smart gun-law changes to prevent the kind of disasters we’ve been seeing on a daily basis. And she has a real history of uniting people, of being able to work with both Republicans and Democrats, of trying to fight for people’s equal rights. Whereas we really see the polar opposite in her opponent."
“Why [husband John Legend and I] personally love Hillary is that she is far and away the most qualified candidate for the job," the supermodel said in October 2016 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "She’s ready to see this office again. She’s seen it before. We’re really supportive of her and we’ve loved her for a long time.”
“We got some fight left in us, don’t we? What does it take to be the first female anything? It takes grit and it takes grace," the legendary actress said in August 2016 at the Democratic National Convention. "You people have made history. And you’re gonna make history again in November, because Hillary Clinton will be our first woman president. She will be a great president and she will be the first in a long line of women ― and men ― who serve with grit and grace. She’ll be the first but she won’t be the last.”
“I am so excited to be able to say that my first vote for president will be for Hillary Clinton," the Carrie star said in July 2016 at the Democratic National Convention. "What’s wild is that nearly four out of five young people actually stayed home in the 2014 congressional elections. Imagine what can happen if we all make our voice heard this November at the ballot box.”
Proclaimed the former Miss Universe (maligned by Donald Trump) in September 2016 in an Instagram post: “I will continue standing, sharing my story, my absolute support for Mrs. Clinton on behalf of all women, my sisters, aunts, grandmothers, cousins, friends and the female community."
“I didn’t finish high school," the pop superstar explained in July 2016 at the Democratic National Convention. "Unfortunately, I don’t have a formal education. But I do have an open mind, and I have a voice. I’m asking you to have an open mind and to use your voice. Here’s how I’m going to use my voice: I’m going to vote for Hillary Clinton.”
“Her leadership, resilience and dedication to public service inspire me every day. No other candidate comes close in terms of experience and qualifications. She is a champion for social justice, making sure that the American Dream is a possibility for EVERY American, and I know that she will continue to fight for us all as president."
“Hillary Clinton’s deep empathy for women and their families is evident in her long history of making policy that changes their lives. She's the most prepared candidate we've ever had and the one who will protect the rights of women — to make choices about their own bodies — and children — to be educated, nourished mentally and physically and protected from systemic prejudices."
“She’s a wonk. She’s Willy Wonka as far as I’m concerned. A wonk is somebody that’s really interested in minutiae, in reading the fine print, in digging in. Not just some blowhard, helium balloon. She’s someone with weight and I love that … I’m looking for pragmatic leadership. I believe that she is the right choice at this moment in our time.”
"This country is in need of what she holds. Selfless sacrifice. The same selfless sacrifice that millions of families gladly give to their own day after day after day. We are a nation in need of her kind, compassionate knowledge … We are in need of Hillary, someone raised by a strong woman — taught to be a strong woman.”
"The challenges that our next president will face are profoundly complex and will require the breadth of knowledge, experience and nuanced approach to problem solving that only she possesses. She offers the kind of practical detail that will actually get us there … Well, there’s just no contest.”
“I’ve always admired her determination to get things done. She puts one foot in front of the other and keeps going until she gets the job done. I’ve known her for a long time. I’ve sat across the table from her, and I know her to be warm, capable and smart. She has a wonderful sense of humor, yet she takes the issues very seriously. She has deep knowledge of all the issues, and she understands how they’re interwoven … The fact that she'll be the first female president is a bonus."
"It's an interesting campaign this time around. I am a Democrat and like Hillary's views on immigrants being vital to the community. It's how my family got here and I believe we need someone who will fight to keep families together, among so many other issues we face that she supports."
"She has been scrutinized, dissected and vetted more than anyone else in this country, and for more years. And yet, she’s always ready to go into battle to fix the problems with real solutions, to stand up against injustice and prejudice, to level the playing field, everywhere. She’s been doing just that since she was in her early twenties. No one is more capable, better skilled or more exceedingly qualified to be president of the United States."
"When you're talking to her, she totally takes you in and hears exactly what you're saying … I really think it’s time that we have a woman president, and I think she’s the right one. Being an African American woman and a single mom, there are issues that I feel that all the other candidates are not really touching upon. She’s got some great ideas to help women. So that’s why I was like, ‘Absolutely I will come aboard.’”
"The real reason I started supporting Hillary is that nobody had to prompt her to speak out on the issues that disproportionately affect people of color. Her first statement after deciding to run was calling for serious social justice reform, including body cameras for all police officers. She has big dreams for our country, but, more importantly, she has concrete plans to make those dreams a reality."
