Taking in the sunshine! Drew Barrymore rang in her 40th birthday by relaxing at the beach on Sunday, Feb. 22. A source tells Us Weekly that the star is celebrating in the Bahamas.
“forty,” the Miss You Already actress captioned a selfie. Barrymore looked up at the sky with a big smile on her face in the pic. She went without makeup and appeared to be tanning after a quick dip in the ocean.
Earlier this month, Barrymore celebrated Valentine’s Day with her husband Will Kopelman. “Happy Valentine’s Day!” she captioned an Instagram pic of flowers on Feb. 14. “I woke up to these from @will_kopelman made by @bloomandplume #icantbelievehowluckyiam.”
Barrymore wed the art consultant in June 2012, and welcomed daughter Olive in September 2012 and baby girl Frankie in April 2014.
“I think kids learn a lot by example and they’ll hopefully be able to see that I haven’t torn myself apart or fallen prey or lived a life where I battled against what I have,” the Flower Beauty Makeup & Cosmetics CEO told Huffington Post back in November. “You should be around people who are thinking about other things rather than themselves and insecurity is not an option. I do think that joy is such a good and positive emotion and when you can sense that it’s lacking, run away.”
