After four years together, Halle Berry and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry have called it quits, according to TMZ.com and RadarOnline.com.
TMZ.com reports that they are currently working out a custody agreement for their daughter, Nahla, 2.

The Oscar-winning actress, 43, and the model, 34, first met at a 2006 Versace shoot. Two years later, their daughter was born.

Berry never seemed to mind their nine-year age difference -- or the fact that they never wed.
"I feel more married now than I did in any of my actual marriages," she told the March 2009 issue of Essence. "We live the truth of that and that's more important than a piece of paper."
Interestingly, she declined to answer whether they'll be together forever. "All I know is that at this moment, it feels fantastic," she said.
Despite the uncertainty of their relationship, she told Ellen DeGeneres a short time later that she wanted more children. "My mind says yes," she said, "but the rest isn't up to me, so we'll see."

On Thursday, Berry flew solo at the DKMS' 4th Annual Gala: Linked Against Leukemia solo in NYC -- but she was in good spirits.
Asked how her daughter was, she told UsMagazine.com: "She's fantastic."
The best thing about being a mom? "Everything!" she gushed to Us.

Good for her. So many people stay together much longer than they should. If you're not happy in the relationship it's best to end on good terms. Most can't do that though. It's obvious by now that it's Halle Berry's problem with men. Now I know why she doesn't want to marry again, because she knows she can't stick with one man forever and doesn't want to lose her money in a divorce. She should see a psychiatrist as to what makes her so bad in relationships.

Men are attracted to powerful women but in the long run they still want to run the show. Never works when a woman is above her guy, Halle is beautifuly, smart, sexy and when she turned into a mother he wasn't so interested anymore. He wants younger, less powerful and less smart woman so he can feel in charge. What a loser. His loss not hers.

I agree with Kerry, Halle seems to find it difficult settling with any one man for long just like Jennifer Aniston. Could be that it is the women with the problem.
If they weren't happy together and were not married, they can still co-parent and be a happy family but not live together. It is what it is. She seems like such a nice person and he seems nice. I wish them both well.
The thing is Janet, that so many kids born out of marriage are being supported by the taxpayer. Also, kids live in the same household with, who knows for a father, DNA tests getting more and more needed. People have a right to want to live in a civilized society, and it appears to be unraveling with all this selfishness. People are having kids with no more thought or commitment then buying new jeans.
Paula, I'm not "living in sin" as you call it. I'm just smart enough to realize that you and people like you constantly try to force your own opinions on others. For the record, I'm not married or seeing anybody (and haven't for years) and do not have children. However, I do plan to get married, and I do plan to have kids after I marry. Just because those are the things that I want for myself doesn't mean somebody that chooses to have children outside of marriage is wrong. It means that my choice is right for me and their choice is right for them. Nobody trying to force people to marry is speaking THE truth, they are speaking THEIR truth. Big difference. Like it was said earlier, the only people that hold such narrow opinions are typically ignorant and uneducated. Try stepping outside of your tinsel covered trailer park for once and seeing all the DIFFERENT opinions in the world. It's the 21st century; LEARN SOMETHING!
I don't profess to know them, but I've always gotten the impression that Halle was bored to tears by him and that he had no personality. She has looked as though she's in pain ever since she got together with him and had the baby. No wonder she's been looking happier lately: she is free at last.
