‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Catelynn Lowell Enters Treatment, Is ‘Seeking Help’

UPDATE: Catelynn Lowell told MTV News Wednesday night that she is entering a treatment facility in Arizona for mental health issues. “I’m seeking help for myself and my family,” she said. “Thank you to all of my supporters. My family and I would appreciate some privacy at this time.”

“Teen Mom OG” documented her battle with postpartum depression in the most recent season, which just ended this month.

Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell hinted that she may be on her way to seek treatment in a cryptic post she shared via Instagram on Wednesday, March 16.

“Arizona here I come… I can’t wait to be back to my normal self… this is for me and my family… Novalee and Tyler I love you both very much!!!” she captioned a photo of a cloud-filled blue sky, taken from an airplane window seat.

A rep for Lowell declined to comment.

A day earlier, the 24-year-old reality star and her husband, Tyler Baltierra, also 24, caused fans to become concerned when the couple wrote a series of worrying tweets.

“Please just pray for my wife,” Baltierra wrote. “For better or for worse … through sickness & in health … I will NEVER stop fighting for my wife. Keep her in your prayers … thank you.”

“You guys have NO CLUE on how much you lift me up sometimes…,” she wrote.

The Conquering Chaos author has previously spoken out on the hit MTV docuseries about battling postpartum depression and the emotional struggles that Novalee’s birth brought.

“It’s hard. I [didn’t] want to do anything,” she said on the Teen Mom OG reunion part 2 earlier this month. “I [couldn’t] even emotionally or physically take care of my own self. I remember sitting in the bathtub and thinking, ‘I’m not waking up another day feeling like this.’”
