They brought their birthday suits! Jimmy Fallon was joined by pals Seth Rogen and James Franco to help celebrate his 40th birthday on The Tonight Show on Friday, Sept. 19. The late-night host was surprised they stopped by — even more that they popped out of a birthday cake shirtless.

"From what I've been told everyone at this office got together and got me a surprise birthday cake. And they said later in the show there's a special guest and I'm going to interview him or her," Fallon told the crowd. "I thought I never liked surprises but I like it! It feels good."

Fallon then made his way down to center stage as Rogen and Franco (wearing policeman gear!) made their grand entrance. The catch? They weren't actually the "real" surprise.

"Ladies and gentleman, Stevie Wonder!" the Interview costars shouted. The legendary singer was then revealed backstage as he sang his own rendition of "Happy Birthday."
