Jon Gosselin Ditching Dogs; Kate Won't Take Care of Them

Jon Gosselin says estranged wife Kate is in the dog house — because she won't take care of his German Shephard puppies, Shoka and Nala.
So he is returning them to the breeders.
"It's not fair to the dogs to not be wanted in their own home," Jon, 32, tells E! News.

The dogs belonged to Jon, and he was in charge of feeding, brushing and caring for them. He didn't explain why he won't just bring the dogs with him to New York City – where he rents a two-bedroom bachelor pad — when it is not his turn to stay at the family's $1.1 million home in Wernersville, Pa.

Earlier in the summer, the Humane Society of Berks County, Pa., received about a dozen complaints from animal activists around the country after Gosselin said his eight kids "beat" the dogs, "climb on them, pull their tails, bite at them, drag them around."

He later denied animal cruelty claims, stating: "We understand the responsibilities of being good dog owners."

The dogs were an early Christmas gift for the 8. Kate stated on an episode the kids had always wanted a pet and now they had the room they were getting puppies. She didn't even let the kids name them.
Maybe people should stop bashing Jon and blame Kate on this one. Why can't see take care of the dogs. To busy doing talk shows and tanning. I think it is a shame. She is so self centered. I think everyone here is blaming the wrong person. She is a loser. Are all these comments from women who hate men? Sounds like it to me.
Jon Gosselin is another imature male who is not a responsible father or dog owner. Where would those kids be with out their driving force..Kate. One day Jon will get it and I hope his children forgive him for all he has put them through. I hope he gets his parental rights taken away from him before he causes harm to his children with the slutty babysitters and women he has in his life. Kate rocks as a parent , woman and human being. She just picked a looser to father her children ...like so many of us . I think Jon needs to be tested for std's before he has too much contact with his children. Keep up the good work, Kate, you are much better off with only 8 children and not 9 like you have had for years . Best of luck to you Kate.
There are a lot of things these people could have done: waited until the kids were older before getting dogs so they could help care for them and gotten a dog sitter or dog daycare for the pets if they needed help caring for the dogs. What they should not have done was to give away the children's Christmas present, taken away one of the few stable elements in their lives and used the dogs as a means to hurt people. How this removal off the property with the kids was done was cruel to the pets and children. I really hope that the local ASPCA and Humane Society take measures to prevent another adoption of an animal by the Gosselins. The parents have proven that they cannot handle being responsible pet owners and that they did not supervise the children's interaction with the pets while under their charge.

Poor dogs. One of them should of taken the dogs and found time for them.They are just like kids!Are they going to get rid of their kids also?
Personally, I think that John is full of it. That whiny wuss has been in the news ALOT lately saying how he despises Kate, and how mistreated he was, and blah blah blah. I think he's trying to feed people more b.s. about how Kate didn't want to take care of the dogs. There is no reason why on God's green Earth that he couldn't have taken the dogs with him to NYC. What, does he not own collars & leashes. That man has four limbs, a head, and no visible scarring. There is no reason why he can't take care of the dogs.
Jon should've gotten a HOME nearby where HE could keep "his" dogs. But he "needed?" an apartment in NYC where it isn't practical to keep two large animals, especially when he's away. JON GOSSELIN IS A LOSER.
It's painfully obvious these dogs were never family members to these people. Hopefully the breeder will do a much better job the next time with screening the people he sells his dogs to. It's clear he didn't screen these idiots at all. Time to drop kick these morons to the curb where they belong.
I hate BOTH of these people more than ever!!!!! Pets are not yesterday's trash to be tossed out when they become a bother. I'm done with this show. They don't deserve my time or attnetion any more. I just hope they don't decide their kids are inconvenient as well. Hopefully no other pet will ever have to suffer with these people. They clearly don't give a crap about anyone but themselves. Right now I can't decide which one of them I despise more!!!
To everyone who loves Kate, how long would you put up with her talking to you that way? She would! She treats people in her congergation in the same manner. People who were there to volunteer on her house! She actually told volunteers "not to come back the next day, they wouldn't be needed". You dont think there is a reason that no one in her family wants to be around her but rather wants her stopped like the majority of the public. Jon's a raging idiot but Kate's the Devil! Maybe there is a reason that these two fools weren't able to have kids without science intervening.....they weren't meant to have kids together!

How is it Kate is taking the high road? She has already done several rag-mag-Jon bashing interviews? Now she is repeating the "I'm taking the high road" phrase like a broken record. She didn't take the high road, she started the bashing, has anyone here stood in a grocery store line over the last 3-4 months? I think her camp finally told her to shut her fat face & keep it shut for the sake of the show. And to everyone who say's she is just being a strong & independent woman" when she treated Jon that way....would you like it if some woman talked to your precous son that way? Or better yet, if a man talked to you that way? Would you still call it "strong & independent" or abusive?
Why don't they just hire someone to take care of their dogs 'ALL THE FLIPPEN TIME', like they have their poor kids? I quit watching, cause Kate the snake makes me want to slap my TV, so I didn't see the episode were they got the puppies, but if they were in fact presents for the kids for x-mas, then they are even scummier then initally thought. The kids have lost enough already thanks to their two selfish, worthless parents. Save the Gosselin 8!!!
Those 2 dogs were the 8 kids Christmas present last year. If I remember the show correctly I believe Kate told the children that would be their only present, and that Kate & Jon named the dogs because she could not handle the names the kids would have given the dogs.

This family is just crazy. Did you see when they went to get the puppies and the oldest of the twins Mattie acted like the spoiled bratt she is. How can they take on 3 dogs,8-spoiled kids and all the drama in their lives. The whole situation is something out of a horria movie. How many familys with all those kids actually live like that? Everything is given to them ...especially the kids...they are thankful for nothing worst bunch of disrespectful kids I have ever seen in my life. Atleast the show"EIGHTEEN AND COUNTING""..... the kids show and give their parents respect. Give the dogs to kids who will not,bite,kick,hit,ride and most importantly feed the dogs.Why wont TLC just take Kate,jon and the eight off the channel/ THE RATING ARE GOING DOWN..........
