Kailyn Lowry Pushes Back Wedding One Year: "Not In Our Budget"
Kailyn Lowry's big wedding dreams have been put on hold. The Teen Mom 2 star announced the sad news to her Twitter followers on Tuesday, March 12.
"Looks like we'll be pushing the wedding back an entire year," Lowry tweeted with a sad face. "Just not in our budget this year like we planned. Taxes."
The MTV star, who celebrates her 21st birthday on Thursday, is already legally wed to Javi Marroquin. She tied the knot with the U.S. airman back in September after a year of dating, but the two were planning on having a larger celebration.
Just last week, Lowry, who is mom to 3-year-old son Isaac with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, went shopping for her wedding dress in NYC.
"March 5th marks Javi and I being married for 6 months! And I'm going to Kleinfeld's to try on wedding dresses for our big wedding!" she tweeted. The Whitehall, Penn. native also shot down rumors that she'd be appearing on TLC's Say Yes to the Dress, which is filmed in the bridal boutique. She tweeted, "Not going on SYTTD!"
Lowry and Marroquin's road to matrimony has not been an easy one. The bride-to-be recently opened up about a blowout argument with Marroquin that led to a shocking discovery: doctors diagnosed Lowry with bipolar disorder. "My mom is bipolar and it turns out I am too," she told Starcasm.
"I just want to publicly apologize in advance to my fans," she said of the dramatic incident (declining to describe it further) which will air on season four of Teen Mom 2, "and even though Javi and I have moved on from it, I want to say I'm sorry again to him and his family for letting my emotions get the best of me. I know how humiliating that is for them and I'm humiliated myself."
