Video: Kate Gosselin Defends Serena Williams

On Monday, she began her first of two guest hosting gigs on the ABC show - and she didn't hold back.
Sherri Shepherd asked Gosselin what it was like to see her estranged husband Jon bringing his new girlfriend, 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, around their eight kids.
"This is all difficult - I'm not going to lie," she replied.

But she wouldn't answer the question. "For the sake of my children," she told the ladies, she is going to "take the high road."
She defended Serena Williams, who was fined $10,000 for her profane outburst at a line judge at the US Open on Saturday.
"I think the important thing here is that she's in the public eye," Gosselin, 34, said. "We're all human."

Gosselin even admitted, "In the privacy of my own home, this weekend, I melted down."
So why does she keep on filming her TLC show?
"So many people say, 'Stop ... just pull out,'" Gosselin said. "I can stop, but I'd still have all the flack..."
"I’m a single mom, and now more than ever I need to be out there working hard to support my children," she added. "It comes with a price; every job that people do comes with a price."

She later said, "My focus is supporting my family and children and whatever way that comes, in a healthy way, I’m gonna do it.
"I'm essentially doing it by myself, and I’m going be responsible," she said.
When Whoopi Goldberg asked if she's paid enough, Kate replied, "Um... is anybody paid enough?"

** Kate is just a strong assertive woman, and Jon didn't get passive for Kate, he was "always" passive. People don't "turn passive" because they love someone. If he really loved her he would have been himself, not someone he manufactured in response to her. He's just a weak person and doesn't want to admit it. Some people are like that, they are better at taking directions. Jon is "no" natural leader and he never will be. That's why their marriage worked at all,/ "when it did". Kate is a natural leader. She tried to get him to lead and he didn't step up.
Kate has ALWAYS been a Single Mother. Jon was NEVER the other ADULT in their relationship. He was NEVER a HUSBAND. Jon NEVER wanted those beautiful children. He proved it everyday>>all you have to do is look at the taped shows. He was NEVER HAPPY and he NEVER helped Kate on his own. Jon's actions since their separation are just more proof to the fact, and then of course when Jon said he missed his 20's by being home with his babies?

If being Narcissistic means trying to do the best for your kids than there are a lot of good mothers that are narcissistic. It takes a lot to raise children and the price gets higher everyday. When our children are involved we are all gready. I am glad that Kate got to tell more of her side. Seeing Jon and Kate Plus 8 last night, I could tell kate really cares for her kids.
I'm sure they made enough money already. She doesn't need to keep pimping out her kids privacy to make more money. They need privacy during this difficult time.
If you are really a single mother trying to support your children, then you should be conservative about money. Instead of buying a huge mansion on 26 acres, maybe you buy a smaller home with more bedrooms for your kids. Instead of wasting money on her new boob job,clothes (wardrobe change 5 times a day for paps), shoes, cars, spa, nails, personal trainer, assistants, nannies, chef and so on, maybe she should stop indulging herself and teach her kids how to save. Kate is not supporting her children, she is using her children to support the lifestyle she desires. Well said........
Not sure why anybody would say staying home with kids is "stoneage". It is simply a choice. Most moms I know stay at home and do not work outside the home. I know many,many moms in all income brackets that are stay at home moms. Some moms may have to work but many work because it is their choice. There is no nobler profession than staying at home raising your children.
LOL, Kate was so awkard on the show. She didn't say much about other topics, but when it came to her, She was all over it.. "I, me, myself, breakdown, all about the kids". LOL. You can see the PAINFUL look on the other hosts face everytime Kate spoke. When the topic came to being "Organic" , Kate again jumped in and said, "If you watch my show, I'm all about Organic". LOL what a FAKER...

So sad to hear of Patrick Swayze's passing today. He was a great actor. I loved him in "Ghost" and "Dirty Dancing." He was one of the finest actors and will never be replace. The world has lost a true gentleman. His memory will live on forever. Good-bye Patrick Swayze

It's stoneage to stay home with your kids?? Yeah, if you have a dead end job and can't keep your marriage together or have chosen to idiotically bring kids into the world UNmarried. It's only stoneage because most people are too afraid to commit to each other and also give up on relationships without any real effort. Of course you can't stay home with the kids if you aren't with your child's father/mother. No way a man or woman can bring in enough for 2 separate households! Stay together, learn to sacrifice and commit to one another and it most certainly IS possible to be a stay at home mom or dad. Nobody wants to put forth any effort anymore!
