Kate Hudson, Matthew Bellamy Throw Game of Thrones Themed Halloween Party: All the Details!
Happy Halloween from Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy! The A-list couple threw an over-the-top bash at their home in L.A.'s Pacific Palisades neighborhood for all their celeb friends on Saturday, Oct. 26. A source tells Us Weekly that Hudson, 34, fiance Bellamy, 35, and their entire family dressed up as characters from HBO's Game of Thrones (based on George R.R. Martin's epic book series.)
According to an insider, the actress wore a furry crop top with matching fur boots, while her fiance dressed up as Kit Harington's Jon Snow from the show. To add to their party theme, the hosts built an enclosed winter world from Game of Thrones and a Patron ice bar -- presumably inspired by Jon Snow's journey in the tundra-like northern realm at beyond "the wall" with the night's watch -- for guests to enjoy.
Hudson's mother, Goldie Hawn, and her longtime partner Kurt Russell were among those in attendance. The 67-year-old actress and 62-year-old actor got into the holiday spirit by dressing up in traditional German costumes. Hawn wore a blonde wig with pigtail braids, a pink bonnet and dirndl, while Russell styled a lederhosen. Bellamy's mother, Marilyn, also attended the party and spent most of the night watching the festivities while relaxing in an armchair. A source tells she stayed up until 3 a.m., and Hudson introduced her to other guests.
Bradley Cooper also pulled up to the party in costume. The Hangover actor, 38, was photographed riding his motorcycle wearing a gorilla suit with model girlfriend Suki Waterhouse sitting on the back. New parents Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel went all out with their couple costume. The Black Eyed Peas singer, 38, showed some cleavage in a sexy Elvira getup, while her actor hubby, 40, dressed as Riff Raff costume from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Other celebs in attendance included Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren, Chelsea Handler ("pregnant" and rocking a faux baby bump!), Johnny Knoxville, David Spade, Larry David, Martin Short, Russell Simmons, Chloe Sevigny, Nicole Richie, Derek Hough, Lea Michele, Sacha Baron Cohen and wife Isla Fisher. Richie, 32, shared a photo on Instagram of her and a pal dressing up as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito's characters in the 1988 comedy film Twins. Michele, 27, also posted a snapshot of her and a friend dressing in matching dirndls.
A source tells Us that Hudson danced with Dancing With the Stars pro Hough in her living room early into the morning hours. The twosome did a crazy dance move with Hough lying down on his back and holding Hudson up above him. An eyewitness tells Us that it was "kind of like the scene from Dirty Dancing but lying down." The playlist included songs by Rihanna, "Treasure" by Bruno Mars, "Forever" by Chris Brown, Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," Beyonce's "Single Ladies," Lorde's "Royals" and other party thumpers.
One eyewitness told Us that the Halloween bash was "absolutely amazing" and the decor was "unreal."
