Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were in the same place at the same time on Monday, Dec. 9 — but in some ways, they've never been further apart. Though both stars attended Jay Z's concert at L.A.'s Staples Center, they enjoyed the show separately and never interacted with each other, a source tells Us Weekly.
The reality star, 29, hit up the event in head-to-toe black: a black top, black pants, and a black jacket, which she accessorized with a black clutch and large hoop earrings. Her estranged husband, meanwhile, showed up with some friends and watched the concert from a private box. (E! was first to report the couple's separate attendance.)
Married for four years, Kardashian and Odom have been on something of a roller coaster this year, largely due to revelations about the NBA player's drug use. In a recent preview for season nine of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the basketball player can be heard begging for a second chance on the phone.
"I would do anything to be accepted back by you guys," he says in the clip. "You guys are all I've got."
Kardashian, for her part, has not spoken much about her marriage but posted a cryptic note to Instagram on Dec. 7 about different kinds of love.
"Dear Human: You've got it all wrong. You didn't come here to master unconditional love," the note read. "That is where you came from and where you'll return. You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling. Demonstrated through the beauty of…messing up. Often."
It went on: "You didn't come here to be perfect. You already are. You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous. And then to rise again into remembering."
