They’re done. Kirsten Dunst and boyfriend Garrett Hedlund have split after more than four years of dating, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly.
The couple, who made their first official appearance together in January 2012, were living together in L.A. and were rumored to be close to getting engaged.
The Fargo star, 33, and Pan actor, 31, met while costarring in the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road in 2011. “I took her out on a 3 a.m. canoe ride,” Hedlund told Details in 2013 of the duo’s disastrous first date. “It was not a stable canoe. We fell out and had to swim back in mucky, s‑‑tty water, like golf-pond water.”
Dunst also recently opened up to Net-a-Porter’s The Edit about what she finds attractive in a man. “I appreciate old-fashioned manners,” she told the magazine “I want a guy to pay for dinner and open the door for me. I love the masculine.”
The Midnight Special actress previously dated and shared an L.A. home with Jake Gyllenhaal, but they split in 2004 after about two years together. She also dated Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell for seven months in 2007.
