Smiles all around. Lamar Odom’s dad, Joe Odom, looked happy following news that his son has regained consciousness. Joe stepped out over the weekend with a smile while making a Walmart run on Friday, Oct. 16.
As previously reported by Us, Lamar, 35, is doing better and is no longer in a coma since being found unconscious at legal brothel Love Ranch South on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband has even given doctors a thumbs up and spoken to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, along with family members.
"No words can express the overwhelming gratitude we feel for the outpouring of support from around the world,” Odom’s aunt JaNean Mercer previously told Us.
Kim Kardashian also got a response from Odom over the weekend while visiting him at Sunrise Hospital. ”I have faith in you. I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy!" she shared on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 17. "Thank you all for your prayers! Lammy – I'm so happy Kendall & I could make you smile today! God is good!"
Khloe, who is not legally divorced from Odom despite signing docs this past July, has remained by his side in the hospital since Tuesday and has been responsible for making his medical decisions. Despite his improving status, the stress has been weighing down the 31-year-old.
A source told Us that Khloe has been “like a shell of a person,” explaining that “making these decisions is very hard.”
