Mark Zuckerberg’s daughter, Max, joined him and his wife, Priscilla Chan, for an adorable Lunar New Year’s video that the Facebook founder posted to his account on Saturday, February 6.
“Happy New Year! Priscilla and I are very excited to celebrate our first Lunar New Year with Max,” Zuckerberg, 31, kicks off the video, speaking in stilted Mandarin.
In the clip, he and Chan, 30, sit side by side at what looks to be their home, with 2-month-old Max snuggled between them, wearing a traditional red-and-gold silk top.
“We hope on this holiday, you are also spending it with your family and friends,” Chan added.
The Facebook CEO explained that the Lunar New Year is also particularly meaningful for their family this year because the couple have officially decided upon Max’s Chinese name: Chen Mingyu.
“Chen, after her mother’s family name, and Mingyu represents our hope for a brighter tomorrow for the world,” Zuckerberg said.
The pair, who wed in 2012 after nine years of dating, announced Max's birth on December 1, and have been actively posting updates on their home life in the weeks since.
On New Year's Day, Zuckerberg posted an adorable shot of the family of three, with well wishes to Facebook users around the globe.
“I hope your 2016 is happy, healthy and productive,” he wrote at the time. “As the world faces new challenges and opportunities, may we all find the courage to keep making progress and making all our days count.”
