"I could spend ages reading the news, I could spend days, singing the blues," the 31-year-old singer wrote, sharing the lyrics from Lake Street Dive's song "Better Than." "But I turn up the TV light. Give up without a fight. Better than pretending to know what's wrong and what's right," she continued. "This song. This band. These lyrics,” she added, commenting on her own post. “@lakestreetdive thanks @ape_lewis for turning me on to this."

Lambert's approach to news that her ex has moved on so quickly, and so publicly, has been impressive. The singer managed a faultless performance at Wednesday's 2015 Country Music Association Awards, just hours after Us Weekly exclusively revealed that Shelton and Stefani were indeed officially dating.

And an hour before sharing the level-headed but highly significant song lyrics, she shared an Instagram photo of herself with her horse, expressing nothing but happiness and gratitude.

"Horse Power"….. I'm still floating around on a cloud from last night. Thank you so much @cma for celebrating country music in a big way and for letting me be part of it. Today was a day spent reflecting on this amazing life that Nashville and country music fans have given me. And my friends. Even behind closed doors, a source tells Us, Lambert's feelings are just the same. "She had her suspicions but didn’t really know it was a real thing until the announcement,” our insider said. “But she doesn’t care. She’s divorced and he can date who he wants.”
