PIC: Jessica Simpson Wears Little Black Dress to Launch New Collection

Jessica Simpson squeezed into a little black dress Wednesday to launch her new Jessica Simpson Collection at Macy's in NYC.

During the two-hour store appearance, she signed autographs and greeted fans, whom she had earlier invited (via Twitter) to wear articles from her denim, shoes or accessories line. (She later posted shots of them on Twitter, writing: "Everyone looks amazing in their denim! I'm so proud.")

Simpson, 30, was pleased with the turn-out. "What a great night!!!" she gushed on Twitter. "Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting the line." See more photos of Jessica and Eric in NYC.

After the launch, she treated her boyfriend Eric Johnson to dinner to celebrate his 31st birthday. They were spotted at Lavo, where Us Weekly held its annual 25th Most Stylish New Yorkers bash earlier in the evening.

"It's Eric's birthday!!!!" Simpson Twittered earlier in the day. "Party in NYC!!!!!"
