It's been a tough one. Keshia Knight Pulliam opened up about her and Ed Hartwell's ongoing divorce drama and allegations of cheating during her podcast on Friday, July 29.
"I've definitely had a trying week. I'm grateful. I'm here. I'm well. Baby girl is well and at the end of the day, that is all that matters," the pregnant star, 37, told her Kandidly Keshia listeners. "I thank you so much for the village — my family, my friends, people who I don't even know who have reached out, who have supported me, who have sent love, who have sent blessings, who have sent words of encouragement through every way known to man. It's meant the world to me."
As previously reported, Hartwell filed for divorce from Pulliam, who is pregnant with their first child, on July 25. He told TheYBF.com that he wanted a paternity test because he isn't sure if he's the father. The Cosby Show alum, in response, claimed that Hartwell was the one that was unfaithful.
"Early on in my marriage when I was faced with this, I was ready to leave," the actress said of Hartwell’s alleged infidelity. It's not OK," she told Entertainment Tonight on July 27. "In the process, I found out I was pregnant. And I had to take another hard look and decide if I wanted to try to work through this and forgive him for the sake of the child. Like, I had divorce papers ready. I presented it to him. … Once I was pregnant, I did decide to give him that one last chance."
Hartwell opened up about Pulliam the following day. "She wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that — from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people — that when you first get married, especially since we didn’t have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby," he told Page Six on July 28. "I said, ‘I think we probably messed up. I think we moved too fast. Our lives and wants are headed two different directions.'"
Pulliam and Hartwell tied the knot late last year at their home in Georgia. Hartwell was previously married to Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu from 2006 to 2012. The exes welcomed son Edgerton in 2007.
On Friday, Pulliam said that she doesn't have a problem with Wu. But that doesn't mean they will break bread together.
"Lisa Wu and I have never, will never, be friends. I have no ill will for her, I don't know her like that it was never a situation of stealing anyone's husband. They were divorced many years before we even started dating and yes we live in Atlanta, it's a small town," Pulliam said during her podcast. "Have I run into her? Have I taken a picture with her? Absolutely, but I take pictures with people every day. And if you were categorized as friends with everyone you took a picture with, would that be accurate?" Pulliam did not explain why she wanted to talk about Wu.
