PHOTOS: Look back at the royal wedding
Instead of asking their wedding guests to buy them fine china or stock their wine collection, Prince William and Duchess Kate set up the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund. This way, in lieu of gifts, guests could donate to the fund, which would benefit the 26 charities personally chosen by the Duke and Duchess.

According to the site, Will and Kate "are incredibly grateful for all the generous donations and messages of goodwill that have been sent to the Charitable Gift Fund in celebration of their wedding. The donations will be divided amongst charities that support military families, children, wildlife conservation, the arts and sports and help and care at home.
