Taylor Swift may still be hurting from her breakup with John Mayer.

In the November issue of Glamour magazine, Swift was asked about her 2010 hit “Dear John” and what she thinks about Mayer’s recent comments to Rolling Stone about the track, rumored to be about him.

“How presumptuous!” Swift, 22, told Glamour. “I never disclose who my songs are about.”

Mayer told Rolling Stone in June that Swift’s song “humiliated” him. “It made me feel terrible,” he said, “Because I didn’t deserve it.” The 34-year-old singer briefly dated Swift in 2009. “[“Dear John” is] cheap songwriting,” he added. “It’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘Wait til he gets a load of this!’ That’s bulls–t.”

But Swift told Glamour she didn’t want to know what exactly he said to the magazine about the song. “I know it wasn’t good, so I don’t want to know,” she explained. “I put a high priority on staying happy, and I know what I can’t handle.”

“It’s not that I’m this egomaniac and I don’t want to hear anything negative, because I do keep myself in check,” she added. “But I’ve never developed that thick a skin. So I just kind of live a life, and I let all the gossip live somewhere else. If you go too far down the rabbit hole of what people think about you, it can change everything about who you are.”

Swift has now been dating Conor Kennedy for the past two months, but she’s not willing to confirm her relationship with Robert Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy‘s 18-year-old son.

“I don’t talk about my personal life in great detail,” the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer said. “I write about it in my songs, and I feel like you can share enough about your life in your music to let people know what you’re going through.”

When Conor’s grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, was recently asked what she would think of of Swift as a “granddaughter-in-law,” Ethel said, “We should be so lucky.”

“She’s fantastic,” Swift told Glamour. “I love her.”
