Tori Spelling: Dean McDermott Has Left ICU

Dean McDermott has left an intensive care unit, where he was recovering following a motorcycle accident earlier this week, wife Tori Spelling announced on Twitter Friday.
"Kids and I are about to go see @deanracer," she Twittered. "He's been moved from ICU to a regular room! Yay! I'll tell him everyone sends their love!"

McDermott, 43, was hospitalized with a punctured and collapsed lung after he got in a crash Tuesday while dirt bike riding with two pals.
"I ended smashing my chest into my bars as I went over the front of the bike," he Twittered Thursday. "It was a freak accident. We still can't figure out what happened. None the less, I have a collapsed lung and bad bruising on my right side. Oh, and 3 stitches in my right butt cheek where a stone got imbedded. Let's just say, I won't be dirt biking anymore."
Spelling, 37, also thanked fans for the "well wishes & prayers .. Means so much 2 us!"
Earlier this year, McDermott fractured his shoulder in a motorcycle accident.

36Glad to hear Dean is doing well. Sad to see all of these rude and judgemental comments that have been left. Golden Rule Baby!! It must be easy to tear someone down when you don't have to face them. Cowards!!! Love you Tori and Dean!!
By watching Dean's 2006 & earlier performances, you see a nice young man getting better at his craft. Dean was also starting to comfortable and put together. In 2006 Dean would have started getting better movie roles and he would have started moving upward quickly. Instead at this critical time of choice making (a time we all have when we can start moving forward towards self actualization, remain the same, or go down) Dean decided to embark on things which took him away from his wife, children, and self. This caused Dean to go way down, when in 2003 Dean was at a point in his life when he could have moved up in the world expanding his territory greatly. Now Dean doesn't practice his craft with comfort nor could he at this point in his life. Dean's inner self is chaotic which shows by his appearance, how quickly he has aged, and his need to injure himself to have a reason for the inner pain he feels. Let this be a cautionary tell for everyone to make the right choices especially at critical times in life.

Since "ways" is plural you say there are not there is! You must be reading too many of Tori's books! Tori's fans are mentally challenged!
All this talk about "Karma"....because he left his first wife for Tori. First of all, if Karma played a part in everyone's life who have cheated, lied, stole etc...half the world would be in the ICU. And if Karma is the reason he's hurt, then what about their children? If something happens to their father, it would destroy their lives. You think the are followed by bad karma???
Right with you, Novelee...stupid people make stupid jokes. And I too, work in a hospital as an ER nurse. Cell phones are allowed now in many parts of the hospital, ICU included.
To Cindy and to whoever finds the "riding a horse" comment funny...seriously??? That's how you spend your time commenting?? Just shows how stupid and shallow and judgmental YOU are. For the sake of their innocent children, try being nice. There's ways to be critical without stooping to moronic jokes.
I think Dean is entitled to have a hobby that he can do by himself whether it be dancing, fishing, etc. He doesn't always need to take a backseat when it comes to Tori and her career (books, jewelry, kids clothing line, etc).

All of you must be freaking beauty queens to be commenting & saying how ugly they are. They seem like a great couple, funny as he**, happy & good parents. Leave them alone about their looks. Beauty is only skin deep & most of you sound ugly as he**. Hope you feel better Dean!! I think you guys are awesome and you have the CUTEST freaking kids !!
I don't know if cell phones are permitted in hospitals or not, but I had the same reaction: He is in ICU and Tweeting?? What next? Is Tori going to bring in a film crew to film his hospital stay to use for their reality show? Isn't anything kept private with these two?

I don't know what you do in the hospital Jessica, but in the NICU where I work, cell phones are not permitted! Secondly, if someone is in that much pain, the last thing they are thinking about is media attention!
Good post, Suzanne@4:18. I've always thought Tori's rail thinness was a sign of deep insecurity...just my opinion, of course. And perhaps Dean's injuries do mean something more than him just being reckless or clumsy.
tori can get as bone thin as she likes - it's still not going to change the fact that she is the butt ugliest drag queen going!
Sooo anonymous how do you know this? Cause I work in a hospital and cell phones are allowed in every part with the exception of radiology rooms...

Cell phones are not permitted in the ICU of any hospital, so if Dean really was in intensive care and in so much pain, he would not have been able to twitter or have access to the internet. Oddly, he twittered all about the crash while he was in "ICU". Tori and Dean probably over dramatized and exaggerated his injuries as an attention grab to gain sympathy for Dean. Tori recently threw Dean under the bus by claiming she lost all of her 90210 friends when she married Dean (as if they hate her because of him and not her)! These two fame who**es will do anything to for publicity.
I really like watching Tori and Dean's show. They are a real couple with real issues like everyone else. Ups and downs are part of being in a relationship its not all rainbows and lollypops and their kids esp. Liam and super cute and funny~
