The Bachelor alum Courtney Robertson is opening up about her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Humberto Preciado.
“What I’m going through is with infidelity and different parenting styles, and I would say it’s early days,” Robertson, 43, claimed on the Saturday, August 8, episode of iHeartRadio’s “I Do, Part 2” podcast. “I’ve been thinking about this for a year, two years. I know it may have seemed sudden to some people.”
Robertson — who appeared on Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor in 2012 — first announced her split from Preciado in July after six years of marriage. At the time, the reality star said she decided to end her marriage “after learning information that irreparably damaged the trust in our marriage.”
“When I did the Bachelor Mansion Takeover, I look at the video and, like, I had so much stress,” Robertson told podcast cohosts Bob Guiney and Deanna Pappas. “I’m 43 now. My face was puffy. The cortisol levels and that was stressful. I was brokenhearted.”
When Pappas, 44, asked if Preciado was supportive of his partner participating in HGTV’s Bachelor Mansion Takeover, Robertson said yes. (The series aired earlier this year.)
“He was supportive. He took care of the kids, but no support, like, not a good morning text, knock ‘em dead, anything like that,” she claimed. “That’s been a part of this too. He wanted me to do it. It was a money-making opportunity. It was a great experience for me. But you know, obviously, I touched on infidelity and I’ve talked about it pretty openly, but he’s on my cell phone plan and it was, like, four or five days into filming, and I shouldn’t have done it. I looked at my phone plan and one of the girls — because there’s many — was texting late once the kids went down, and it just shattered me.”
Us has reached out to Preciado for comment. He has yet to publicly comment on any cheating allegations.
Robertson and Preciado — who share three kids — connected via social media in 2019, seven years after her reality TV debut.
“There was just a level of comfort and connection that I’ve never felt before,” Robertson exclusively told Us in December 2019 when recalling her love story. “I never believed in that feeling of when you know, you know until I met him. Nor have I been with someone that I so clearly wanted to start a family with.”
When participating in her latest podcast interview, Robertson expressed hope that things will get better.
“My kids are the greatest love,” she said. “My highest priority is keeping them safe. The hardest part has been coparenting, and I’m learning that on the fly. Nobody writes a manual for divorce.”
