And the competition begins! Bindi Irwin is glammed up and ready to hit the dance floor. The daughter of the late Steve Irwin stepped out in a sparkly, fringed costume for a Dancing With the Stars photo shoot in L.A. on Friday, Aug. 28.

Bindi, 17, stunned in the blue number, which showed off her toned legs. She accessorized with nude heels and kept her wavy tresses down.

The noted conservationist and animal lover — who has her own Netflix show, Bindi's Bootcamp — confirmed she was joining Season 21 of ABC's dance competition earlier this week during an appearance on Good Morning America.

"This is completely different to anything I have ever done in my life. I am used to wrangling crocodiles," she said. "It’s all about having the courage and strength and, for me, it is something completely different but I hope that I am able to inspire others in their own lives to seize opportunity and to make a difference and just jump, take that leap, even if it terrifies you."

She added: "I just hope my dance partner, whoever it is, is very patient and likes animals, because you never know what I’m going to bring to rehearsal."

Irwin is up for the challenge, but she is nervous about one thing — the judges. Veterans Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and newly engaged Julianne Hough will be back behind the panel. As previously reported, Len Goodman is leaving the series after 20 seasons.

"I have to tell you though, the judges scare me more than crocodiles," Bindi said on GMA. "They are so knowledgeable. They’re supreme athletes. I’m just this girl from Australia who’s used to crocs so give me a 15-foot crocodile any day."

The new season of DWTS premieres on Monday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
