Go, girl! Blake Lively looked absolutely stunning in her first appearance since shuttering her lifestyle site, Preserve, on Sept. 30, while also supporting a good cause.
The Age of Adaline actress, mom to daughter James Reynolds, 8 months, was in Greenwich, Conn., for a screening of the documentary series that she's a part of, A Path Appears, which calls attention to human trafficking in the U.S. Lively, 28, is in the first episode of the series, which premiered in January.
In keeping with the theme of the evening, the Gossip Girl alum was sporting a shorts suit by SemSem, hand-sewn with crystal beading around the sleeves and shorts hem. The brand makes ready-to-wear items in parent and child designs, and is donating a part of their sales to the Association for the Development & Enhancement of Women, an Egyptian non-profit that empowers women in the region.
Ryan Reynolds' wife wore her black and white outfit with black tights and matching black ankle booties and kept her hair down in natural waves for the screening.
The event came only three days after the announcement that she was shuttering her lifestyle site, Preserve. "We have an incredible team of people who do beautiful work, but we launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission: It’s not making a difference in people’s lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way," Lively announced to Vogue. "And that’s the whole reason I started this company, not just to fluff myself, like, 'I'm a celebrity! People will care what I have to say!' It was so never meant to be that, and that kind of became the crutch because it was already up and already running, and it’s hard to build a brand when you’re running full steam ahead—how do you catch up?"
