Bringing that drama to the red carpet!
The 42nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards was held on Sunday, April 26, in Burbank, Calif., and, just like the shows it honored, it boasted sass, pizazz, and class aplenty!
Leading the fashionable pack was Tyra Banks, who rocked a jumpsuit, then a series of sexy suits during her hosting duties, but she wasn’t the only bold beauty. (Assembling a slew of soap stars and no statement styles? As if!) Scroll to see Us Weekly‘s five favorites at the event.
Tyra Banks
Black was a common hue on the carpet, but Banks, 41, made sure her ensemble was anything but basic! The longtime America’s Next Top Model host worked her slim frame in a custom, long-sleeved Bryan Hearns jumpsuit with strips of sheer paneling on the bodice—an edgy complement to her pixie cut.
Julie Chen
The CBS news anchor, who was nominated for her work as one of The Talk hosts, brought the brightest pop of color to the carpet in a bubblegum pink dress with structured, pleated sleeves. She also added gold baubles and leopard-print ankle-strap sandals.
Eileen Davidson
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and last year’s Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama winner (for Days of Our Lives) rocked her hourglass frame in a sparkling black Mark Zunino gown with a sweetheart neckline, accessorized with green earrings and an oversized bangle. She swept her hair up into a sleek ‘do and added a red statement lip.
Hunter King
The 21-year old The Young and the Restless actress, who picked up the Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series statuette, looked every bit the leading lady in an empire-waist Mark Zunino white dress, daintily beaded throughout.
Alison Sweeney
Sweeney, who’s long portrayed Samantha Brady on Days of Our Lives, celebrated her Outstanding Lead Actress nom in a plunging, multimedia navy blue dress by Rubin Singer. Bombshell curls completed her ensemble.
