I Worked Out With Beyonce's Trainer!
I left Washington DC at 8 a.m. and headed to wonderful New York City. I was lucky enough to stay at the W Hotel at Union Square for yet another time. I can't get enough of that beautiful hotel.
In the afternoon, I was scheduled to workout with Marco Borges. He was running a tad late, due to his previous appointment with Beyonce and Jay-Z! How amazing is that? Marco was as nice as he was fit. He gave me a lot of tips, taught me several exercises and suggested a workout plan for me. Marco was big on compound movements-- movements that work out more than one part of the body. He also recommended that I work out at least three times a week, since the difference between working out two versus three days a week is vastly greater than the difference between working out three versus four days a week.
I walked into the session feeling slightly self conscious, but Marco was kind and encouraging and I left the gym feeling like a champ!
