Kate Middleton had a stellar 2015 (as if we expected anything less). She dropped onto the set of Downton Abbey in March, gave birth to her second child, Princess Charlotte, in May, visited countless charities throughout the year as an advocate for children, and of course, donned the perfect ensemble for each and every occasion (tiara sometimes included).
With 2016 a few days away, we decided to take a look back at the 33-year-old Duchess of Cambridge's best looks of the year — because who wouldn't want to spend this fine Wednesday lapping up all that elegance?
Scroll down to see our top eight picks!
Nautical for the Sailors
No one loves a theme more than Duchess Kate! As a patron of the 1851 Trust, an organization dedicated to inspiring a new generation of sailors, the second-time mom-to-be visited the Portsmouth, England, headquarters on February 12, wearing a sailboat-printed Somerset by Alice Temperley dress, teamed with a crisp white Max Mara coat and navy-blue Jimmy Choo pumps.
Hello, little lady! Middleton, who's been married to Prince William for four years, chose Jenny Packham's white dress printed with yellow buttercups to introduce Princess Charlotte to the world on May 2 — just hours after the royal baby was born!
Stripes and Jeans (and George, Too!)
On June 14, just one month after giving birth, the duchess attended a polo match clad in one of her favorite casual ensembles: a striped Me + Em top and Topshop skinny jeans. Of course, it didn't hurt that she had the cutest accessory by her side, little Prince George, a month before his second birthday.
For Charlotte's christening on July 5, the brunette stunner chose a white Alexander McQueen coatdress, paired with a Jane Taylor hat, nude pumps and diamond baubles by Mappin and Webb.
Plum Lace Prettiness
After the christening, Middleton took a short hiatus. But when she returned from maternity leave, she opted for one of her sexiest styles to date: a plum-hued lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana, which she wore to meet with China's President Xi and Madame Peng Liyuan on October 21. Oxblood accessories completed the ensemble.
Nothing less than the best for Bond, James Bond! The duchess channeled her inner Bond Girl in a periwinkle-blue Jenny Packham dress with sheer sleeves and an open back at the world premiere of Spectre on October 26.
Fit for a Princess
While we never got a chance to see Middleton's blue lace ensemble en route to the Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace on December 8, we did get to appreciate her headpiece: the diamond- and pearl-studded Lover's Knot Tiara, one of Princess Diana's favorites. It marked the first time the piece had been worn since the Princess of Wales' death in 1997.
Channeling the Tree
And finally, while strolling to church on Christmas Day with the royal family, the Duchess of Cambridge chose one more holiday-themed ensemble: a Christmas tree-green Max Mara coat, paired with an emerald, floral-topped hat. Her beloved knee-high boots by Aquatalia rounded out the festive look.
