Recessionista: Iron Maiden

You know, I don't always like to wear high heeled shoes and boots. I've been trained since I was a junior fashion editor to wear the highest of high footwear, but every once in a while, I prefer something that can actually get me around town a lot faster that also provides a lot of fashion kick.

I love these Aldo "Yuma" boots because they're priced really well at $140 and they look fierce. They come in taupe -- my new buzz color -- and black. The shoe also features a cool stud and eyelet bracelet that hugs the boot shaft and it looks like these won't discriminate on a wider calf. Sometimes I find that these high boots are lovely as all get out, but I can't fit them over my calf!

These boots would be perfect to wear with a cute denim mini and also with Fall's hottest item: leggings.
