Melissa Gorga’s 20-year-old daughter, Antonia, is breaking down her decision to get a nose job.
“I got a rhinoplasty!!! This is something I’ve wanted to do for such a long time, and I’m so happy I finally decided to go through with it,” Antonia wrote via Instagram on Thursday, June 11. “After meeting with @drsamrizk, I found out that I had a deviated septum, which was a big reason why my nose was crooked.”
According to Antonia, her “biggest goal” was for New York City plastic surgeon Sam Rizk to straighten her nose and make it more symmetrical. Antonia also wanted her nose to remain “natural and balanced” against her other facial features post-surgery.
“I never wanted a nose that looked completely different. I just wanted a refined version that still felt like me,” she explained. “Since I have very thick skin, finding the right surgeon was extremely important, and I’m so grateful to have found @drsamrizk, who specializes in rhinoplasty for thicker noses.”
Antonia revealed via social media on Wednesday, June 10, that she recently had a nose job.
“I can’t wait to take you all along on this journey and share updates throughout my recovery,” she concluded in her Thursday post. “I saw my nose today …… I’m obsessed, but super swollen.”
Alongside her explanation, Antonia uploaded a video further detailing her decision to go under the knife.
“I have wanted to do this for such a long time, probably since I was 15 years old,” she said in her footage. “The day is finally here. I want to Dr. Sam Rizk in the city, [and he] specializes in thicker noses like mine. I really wanted to find a doctor that specializes in thicker noses [because] thicker noses are more complex than just a bump.”
Antonia plans to continue sharing “vulnerable” updates on her recovery process via social media.
“I know social media can be negative, everyone can have their own opinion, which is perfectly fine,” she stated. “I’m already nervous for this, so I just wanted to go into my surgery with an open mind. As much as this might just be a video to some of you, this is my face and what I’m going to look like for the rest of my life.”
Antonia is the only daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Melissa, 47, and Joe Gorga, who also share sons Gino, 18, and Joey, 16.
