Stephanie Webber

Summary

Executive Editor Stephanie Webber has worked at Us Weekly since 2013 and currently resides in New York City. She often can be found browsing bookstores and reading Harry Potter. The New Jersey native also enjoys traveling, photography, Broadway musicals and concerts (Mumford and Sons all day). Her TV favorites include Friday Night Lights and Stranger Things.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

As the executive editor, Stephanie oversees the digital team, manages the daily news content and leads coverage for awards shows. She’s reported from red carpets, film premieres and roundtables, TV sets, conducted in-studio interviews and now occasionally lends her voice to the “Watch With Us” podcast.

She still squeezes in interviews too like Kermit the Frog. (Yes, it happened.) She also met Meghan Markle years before Prince Harry did and has the photo to prove it.

While at Us, she created the “Now and Then” Q&A series to fulfill her nostalgia fix. She’s revisited some of her favorite TV shows and films by conducting interviews with ‘90s favorites like Tiffany Thiessen, Melissa Joan Hart, Rachael Leigh Cook, Devon Sawa and more.

Education

Stephanie graduated from the University of Scranton in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and minors in broadcasting and women’s studies. Every time she’s interviewed an actor from The Office they’ve chanted, “Scranton what? The Electric City!” And no, it never gets old.

Work history

Stephanie interned at The Scranton Times-Tribune before moving on to freelance for The Abington Journal during college. Although she’s yet to interview Ryan Gosling, she did share an elevator with him when she was a production assistant for 2010’s Blue Valentine.
