The cast of HBO's True Blood not only strip down for the new Rolling Stone -- they also bare all about shooting the show's racy sex scenes.
Says Alexander Skarsgard (who plays sexy vamp Eric): "I don't want a sock around it, that feels ridiculous. If we’re naked in the scene, then I’m naked. I’ve always been that way."

Anna Paquin says she covers up -- somewhat. She reveals that she wears a "patch" – a thong-like attire with the sides cut off – while filming nude scenes as her character Sookie Stackhouse.

"I've got nothing to hide," he says. "I just think it might be embarrassing for the crew."

"To me, vampires are sex," he says. "I don't get a vampire story about abstinence. I'm 53. I don't care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed."

40edz~He was a child/teenage star in Sweden, a director and was a model. His dad is a huge star there, as is here since late sixties, and he's made many movies..most have been indie types.
If the crew can't handle viewing a nude male or female then they are not very professional. Its part of their job, deal with it or leave.
Dude I pay him extra to run around naked even to the craft card. Though I might be to tempted to keep it as just acting to be honest. And as for what Alan Ball said I love it, twilight sucks it's some crappy teen love story. Not anything like real Vamps should be and they are uninformed so don't get mad just cause he had the balls to speak the truth. Oh and I wouldn't mind Stephen not wearing a sock.
Well if it counts for anything, Alexander Skarsgard can walk around my house naked for the rest of his life! haha I'm just sayin ;)
this just means he's one hell of a confident guy when it comes to his body. and there's nothing to be ashamed of.. really! Alexander Skarsgard is the hottest vampire ever! Oh! Bill is hot too. and i understand why he wears a sock.. no big deal. both of them are the hottest! :)
How funny that Stephen is saying he's got nothing to hide but only wears a sock to be considerate of the crew. YEAH RIGHT!! He probably doesn't want any comparisons between his little British willy and Alex's huge man meat. And because he's older his balls are probably starting to sag. This happens to all men in their 40s. Grosssss! HAHAHAHAHA
It is amusing to read how scared and disgusted some americans are of nudity.. First of all, as a viewer you never see Alex penis. He is naked on a closed set, where only his colleagues see´s him. And how can it be more embarrassing to see a colleagues private parts then filming a naughty, steamy sexscene (like Anna and Stephen has done several times)? A tiny "patch" that some actors use to hide private parts is not much for cover.. I am a BIG fan of "True blood" and surprise, "Eric" is my favourite charachter. And I definitely dont mind there being more really-naked-Alex-scenes in the coming episodes! ;)

Heh, I very much doubt anyone minds on set when Alexander Skarsgard drops his robe. It's not the kind of set that attracts people uncomfortable with nudity and let's face it, Alex is gorgeous.
How disrespectful to all concerned. As far at the TB set goes, he's the only cast member (pun intended) to not keep it to himself. How would you like to be Stephen Moyer, knowing that his schlong is rubbing all over his wife? And how would you like to be a grip who has to watch him dangle all over the craft services table. It's nasty and selfish.

Im not sure about all teenagers being ill inform. Certainly some of the commentators here are penis phobic. He is not running naked on the street. The scenes call for nudity, not Alexander wielding his penis to assault someone. It's part of male body, there's nothing to be ashame or scare of. He is comfortable in nude and doing nude scene.If you can't stomach male nudity don't watch it!!

I think he's selfish, as long as HE'S comfortable. Stephen sounds like he is more considerate of others feelings
