Bow down to Queen Angelina!
Angelina Jolie may portray Cleopatra, the legendary Egyptian ruler, in a future film.
With Jolie in mind, film producer Scott Rudin has purchased the film rights to upcoming biography Queen of the Nile, Cleopatra: A Life, USA Today reports.
Rudin's office confirmed to USA Today that the movie "is being developed for and with Jolie."
Stacy Schiff wrote the new biography -- out this November -- and says that the superstar would be ideal in the role. "Physically, she's the perfect look," the author said of Jolie, 35.
Cleopatra has most famously been played by Elizabeth Taylor in a lavish 1963 film. Playing Cleopatra's Roman lover Marc Anthony? Taylor's real-life love, Richard Burton.
