The ABC dating series' preview clip shows the former competitive swimmer, 27, opting to speak to both Fletcher's dad, Dr. Joseph Fletcher, and her mom, Soraya Fletcher. Traditionally, the two final guys on the show ask just the Bachelorette's father for his permission to pop the question.
"I'm here for Joelle, and I'm not going anywhere, and she knows that," Hayes tells them about the 25-year-old real estate developer. "She means the world to me, and I can honestly tell you both that she will be my No. 1 priority in all of life, and in everything I do.
"And Dr. Fletcher, in asking for your blessing to marry Joelle today, I don't just want her hand in marriage — I want all that is Joelle Hannah Fletcher because you guys have raised such a special girl," Hayes says.
"And if I'm fortunate enough to receive that blessing, I can promise you both to protect her, to care for her and love her for my entire life," he continues.
Another preview clip from the finale shows Jordan Rodgers revealing that he has mixed feelings as he picks out an engagement ring for Fletcher.
