Chad Johnson might be fond of certain things (read: mostly milk and cold cuts), but he’s not a big fan of JoJo Fletcher‘s other Bachelorette season 12 men. Always one to seek out the last word, the luxury real estate agent, 28, tweeted an insulting message about Robby Hayes while the Monday, July 25, episode aired — and the former competitive swimmer was quick to respond.
Johnson — who remains one of the season’s most memorable cast members despite getting the boot during a two-on-one date back on the Tuesday, June 7, episode — took to Twitter on Monday to imply that Hayes is gay. Heading into this week’s episode, Hayes was among the four men remaining on the show, along with Jordan Rodgers, Chase McNary and Luke Pell.
“If I have to watch @RobbyHHayes pretend to like women for one more second on #TheBachelorette, I’m gonna blow my head off. #TheBitchelorette,” the never-tactful Johnson posted.
Hayes, 27, replied with, “Been waiting for you to do that #MrIrrelevant.”
This continues an ongoing feud between the pair. Last month, Johnson posted pics to Instagram of himself kissing Hayes’ ex-girlfriend Hope Higginbotham.
“A great girl like her deserves so much better than someone who lies, cheats and ends a four-year long relationship in order to pursue fame on a TV show,” Johnson captioned the post. “You’re amazing, I miss you already.”
This is not likely to be the last fight that Johnson will take part in with a member of Bachelor Nation. He appears on Bachelor in Paradise season 3, which premieres August 2, and a source previously told Us Weekly that the villainous season 12 castoff stirs up quite a bit of drama on that show as well.
Tell Us: Did Johnson go too far with this tweet?
The Bachelorette airs on ABC Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET this week.
