Blake Shelton really wants girlfriend Gwen Stefani to stick around for season 10 of The Voice. The country superstar pressured host and producer Carson Daly to keep the No Doubt frontwoman on the NBC series in some capacity during a press conference on Monday, December 14.

Shelton's amusing comments came in response to a reporter asking if a fifth chair would ever be added to the mix. (As previously reported, Christina Aguilera is returning next season and trading places with Stefani, 46.)

"Well, just to address that, we love Gwen. We love all of our coaches. . . ." Daly, 42, said.

"Yeah, but as a producer, is she coming back to season 11?" Shelton, 39, interrupted. "As an executive producer, Carson, I mean . . ."

Daly quipped back, giving Shelton something to smile about. "Our chairs, we’re like Iron Chef over here. Once you’ve been in the kitchen, you’re always welcome back in the kitchen," the Today show correspondent said.

"All right, see you next season, Gwen!" Shelton replied.

Us Weekly broke the news last month that Shelton and Stefani are dating. Their friendship blossomed into romance following their divorces from Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, respectively. Since the dating news, they've been photographed holding hands, kissing and driving together to The Voice set. On Monday night, the two appeared more affectionate than ever during commercial breaks while taping a live show.

"Gwen had a huge smile and was making eyes at Blake as he was talking to her. They looked very flirty," an onlooker told Us. "Blake went straight to her after his performance ended. She teased him, then laughed."
