Deep Throat Exec Defends Lindsay Lohan's Trip to Cannes

Lindsay Lohan was hard at work in Cannes, according to an exec behind her next flick Inferno, in which she'll play porn star Linda "Deep Throat" Lovelace.

Muse Films production exec Jonathan Fong tells UsMagazine.com of the actress, who was nearly arrested when she lost her passport and couldn't return for a court hearing, "The purpose of the trip was for sales."

"That was her role as the star, making press appearances in support of the movie. She showed up at other parties, but she was promoting the movie in the atmosphere," continues Fong of Lohan, 23, who partied until 7:30 a.m. following news that a judge had issued a warrant for her arrest. "It helps to sell the movie to have her meet with the people who will fund the film."

Despite the Mean Girl star's legal problems, "Lohan is still attached to the project," says Fong.
And her SCRAM bracelet, which she'll have to wear at least until her July 6 court hearing, won't get in the way of production. "The film shoots in the fall," Fong says.

You must admit that her doing this movie deep throat is so appropriate.I don't think she would even have to use her so called "acting" abilities. She would be a natural skank.
Here's one woman who needs a good kick in her private area,and a slap,punch and kick in the face. Lindsay had no business being in Cannes. She could've tough it out. Stay in Los Angeles until her probabtion is up. Lindsay is one stupid stupid girl.
C'mon her trip to Cannes was to party, get drunk and get stoned, not promote her movie or get see movies, would any of these movies appeal to her? No.
Why would any one side with LL's father? The man is the only reason she started doing wrong things.. because "HE" is the one that showed her the path to stupidity. Her father is a "NUT CASE" she is young and she will get it together in time as most twenty somethings do. Hollywood or not everybody learns the depth of their own abilities she will too. It's her father that needs to leave her alone he is the one that continues to mess with her mind and her life.

I cannot believe what this girl is going through. She is so in denial that it's not even funny. She's attacking her father-the only one who has tried to help her so far. She's gone under because of the toxic influence of drugs and booze. The recent headlines, have left me feeling so in shock and so sorry for this girl, who once had one of the most promising careers in Hollywood and to see her throw all that away, is so sad to see. Her behavior is that of someone who is kinda blowing the judge off, who acts like she has better places to be, she needs to know that kind of behavior is not going to go over well with the judge.
Trash will always defend trash!! I will make sure that anyone I know will NOT waste their time and money to watch this movie. I would not even RENT it!!!
Isn't it the job of producers to ask for funding not the actors? Can you image her talking business; dollars and cents and please sign this contract so you can fund my movie. I can't but I can see her boozing it up.
It's sad 2 say, but this movie won't make any money at all. No 1 has paid 2 c 1 of Lindsay's movie in years. Her last 2 movies -I know who killed me (which bomb--BADLY) & Labor Pains (which went directly 2 DVD)should tell u that know 1 will pay there hard earned $9 2 c her.
Of course they defen her even if she is not invloved in the movie. Her name gets them all kinds of free publicity for their movie.
