Ellen DeGeneres: Simon Cowell "Wants Me"

Ellen DeGeneres is no longer sitting next to Simon Cowell at the American Idol judges' table. The talk show host, 52, was to the right of Randy Jackson, 53, on Tuesday night's show.
"We had a little problem and I felt like it's safer over here," DeGeneres joked. "The problem is: Simon wants me. He's got, like, a thing for me, and I get it -- but it's not gonna happen.

"His hands are like wandering hands," she continued before the screen flashed to a goofy fake clip from Hollywood Week of Cowell, 51, trying to hold DeGeneres' hand under the table.
The 12 women of the Top 24 competed on Tuesday night's show. (The 12 guys hit the stage Wednesday, and four contestants -- two girls, two guys -- get voted off Thursday.)

Katelyn Epperly and Kara DioGuardi, 39, got into a faux feud after the judge criticized the 19-year-old Iowa native for wearing too much red lipstick and a leather tube dress.
When Ryan Seacrest said Epperly had a shocked look on her face, the contestant joked that she was in a "bubble."

DioGuardi's response?
"Yeah, right, the b-word she was saying was b*tch!" she joked.
DioGuardi famously fought with 2009's bikini girl, Katrina Darrell.

11I thought more people would have commented on the really wrong details here. I had to double-check and see if this was an amateur blog or something more professional. Hmm...try using a DVR next time, or better yet, have someone else write this column.
I'm so glad the incoherent Paula is gone. I would change the channel every time she spoke. Ellen is so much better and Kara is cool, although into herself at times, but if you check out her credentials she's very talented in her own right.
Sorry to say, but this isn't accurate at all. She didn't say that she was IN a bubble, Ryan asked her what was in her "thought bubble" right then... And Kara said the word that was in her thought bubble was b..... Wow... good reporting though!
i didn't like that she said, "I don't know" several times. yes, ellen we know you don't know what's technical in music, however you're the "audience perspective" voice. i love her, but she's not good at judging. she's too nice for this show.
This silliness about Ellen wanting Simon is a pitiful attempt at filling the very much felt absence of Paula. That same clip was also shown on Ellen's talk show. Ellen is great at critiquing the contestants, but she adds nothing to the now very missing chemistry at the judges' table. She's pretty much just THERE, and as of last night, she now looks more like an unnecessary add-on than the dash of spice that she was in Hollywood.
Ellen is so terrible on American Idol, as is Kara.The female contestants have no talent. It was good while it lated. Time to move on
