Awards season has its official kick-off this Sunday night when the stars step out for the 63rd Primetime Emmys, which will be hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch and will air live from Los Angeles at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.

    @Cathey: Probably because their shows are not good enough. Isn't that the reason why shows / actors are not nominated? Are you implying African Americans should have special treatment? They are not getting any awards THIS TIME because they don't deserve them. They are not going to get awards just because they are African Americans! It's because of comments like yours that sometimes their work is not respected.

    Don't African Americans have their own Award shows, no whites, and their own tv network and pageants. I don't know why this is even an issue.
