Gavin Rossdale is set to join The Voice U.K. as a coach, ITV network announced on Wednesday, September 28. The Bush frontman will join fellow musicians Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Tom Jones.

"I'm so thrilled to be joining The Voice U.K.," Rossdale, 50, said in a statement. "I've always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music and I can't wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent."

The gig comes after Rossdale’s ex-wife, Gwen Stefani, signed on to The Voice in April 2014 to replace then-pregnant Christina Aguilera. After their August 2015 split, Stefani — who shares sons Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2, with the British rocker — started dating Blake Shelton, who has been a coach on the hit singing competition show since it launched in the U.S. in 2011.

Us Weekly exclusively revealed in October 2015 that Shelton and Stefani’s romance kicked off on set of NBC’s hit singing-competition show, where their chemistry was on full display.

“They’re a real thing,” a source close to Shelton, 40, told Us at the time of the flirty duo. Her rep confirmed the stars’ relationship exclusively to Us in November.

Fast-forward to the present day, and the lovebirds are going strong. “He hasn’t been this happy in years,” a source previously told Us of Shelton, who split from Miranda Lambert in July 2015 after four years of marriage. “They’re both in this for the long haul.”

The Voice U.K. is hosted by Emma Willis and will air on ITV in early 2017.
