Who knew? Gina Rodriguez proved she's a woman of many talents when she opened the 2015 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, Aug. 16, by — wait for it — rapping!
The Jane the Virgin actress, 31, took the stage at the University of Southern California's Galen Center with her Teen Choice co-hosts Ludacris and Josh Peck. As they debated how to divide up their hosting duties, Peck suggested that Luda handle all the music categories, since he's, well, a musician.
"Hold on one second," Rodriguez interrupted. "I mean, I know how to rap, too."
A skeptical Luda put her on the spot, asking her to prove her skills onstage in front of the crowd of screaming teens. "I mean, you have a microphone in your hand," he quipped. "I gotta call you out."
The Golden Globe-winning star stepped up to the challenge, spitting a few rapid-fire rhymes from Luda's verse in DJ Khaled's 2010 hit song "All I Do Is Win."
"Ludacris goin' in on the verse / Cause I never been defeated and I won't stop now / Get your hands up, get 'em in to sky for the homies / That didn't make it and the folks locked down," she rapped. "All I do is win, win, win, no matter what, Luda!"
