Hannah Simone Breaks Down Cece and Schmidt’s ‘New Girl’ Future: Will They Leave the Loft? (Exclusive)

New Girl’s Cece and Schmidt are finally getting hitched — but does that mean they’re moving? Hannah Simone (Cece) teases the couple’s future and little Schmidt babies (!) exclusively with Us Weekly.

“I love that there’s no issue within their relationship. They’re both all in. They love each other, and it’s just dealing with the crazy world around them and how they cope with it that provides the comedy,” Simone, 35, tells Us. “I feel like in 10 years, they’d probably be together still. Still very happy, probably exhausted, probably with a bunch of weird kids!”

As for staying with the gang postnuptials? “I wouldn’t be surprised if somehow they still lived in the loft!” she says, laughing.

That might be a good thing. Besides the occasional True American drinking game, Cece and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) would have babysitters on standby if they stayed put. “Like, who would be better babysitters than Jess and Winston?” Simone jokes. “Nick would be like the uncle that you’re just, like, ‘Stop giving me candy. Please. Like, every bad habit is because of you, Uncle Nick!'”

New Girl debuted in 2011 and stars Simone, Greenfield, Zooey Deschanel (Jess Day), Jake Johnson (Nick Miller) and Lamorne Morris (Winston Bishop). Simone has loved working with scene-stealer Greenfield — and especially loved watching his Bollywood dance moves.

“It was really cool in the season premiere to watch him and the other boys do their Bollywood dance. My reaction was so genuine. My jaw hit the floor!” she tells Us. “I was actually at the dance rehearsals and trust me, not one of those boys had danced a single step of Bollywood choreography before in their lives.”

Simone’s also gone Bollywood on the big screen. She stars in the dramatic comedy Miss India America, which is the first project she’s ever executive-produced. The flick follows a high school graduate (Tiya Sircar) who seems to have it all, but her fairy tale ending comes to a screeching halt when her boyfriend leaves her for a beauty queen.

Simone, for her part, is proud that the film is so diverse. “I think the idea of normal Americans that just happen to be South Asian are becoming more and more accepted and embraced and written for now on TV and in film is pretty exciting,” she says.

Miss India America is now in select theaters and comes out on HD/On Demand on Tuesday, April 5. New Girl airs Tuesdays on Fox at 8 p.m. ET.
