
Max Greenfield

Raised in Dobbs Ferry, New York, actor Max Greenfield was born on September 4, 1980.
Greenfield’s career began with guest roles on shows such as Gilmore Girls, Undressed and Boston Public. He had a recurring role as police officer Leo D’Amato in Veronica Mars from 2005 to 2007. He later appeared on the ABC Family series Greek, the ABC comedy Ugly Betty and the ABC sitcom Happy Endings.
Greenfield hit it big in 2011 when he was cast as Schmidt in FOX’s New Girl, costarring Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson and Lamorne Morris. After just one season, he was nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards; he lost to Modern Family‘s Eric Stonestreet.
The actor and his wife, Tess Sanchez, are parents to a daughter named Lily.
