Viva Italia!

Although the Jersey Shore cast may come across a grenade or two in Florence, the show's Season 4 premiere was anything but a bomb. In fact, during the August 4th episode, America's favorite ultra-tan housemates pulled in an astonishing 8.8 million viewers!

The massive number comes as no surprise, beings that the Season 4 trailer promises a slew of typical antics (with an Italian spin) for the fist-pumping octet, like Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi crashing into a cop car and a brawl between Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

In addition to being the most-viewed MTV episode ever, it also broke the record for having the biggest audience for an MTV season premiere (Season 3's Jan. 6, 2011 premiere got 8.45 million viewers) and was the third most-watched series telecast of all time for the network.

I was hoping that the girls would get to the house first but the guys did but I still love the girlies! If it wasn’t for all of the girls (minus Sam), all of the excitement would be gone by now! I can’t wait to see what happens between Mike and Ronnie because whatever went down, it definitely looks epic. I can’t wait to see what happens next and although I’m not at home most of the time when it comes on, I can still watch it on my phone! When the show started, I went ahead and signed up for the Sling Adapter with my DISH Network employee account so I would never miss a minute of it. I can watch live and pre-recorded content and I don't even have to be at home to do so. The Sling Adapter is normally $99 but with a special promotion with DISH Network, new and existing customers can now get it for free. People can go here to get more information http://bit.ly/lDiR6U!

It is trash, and I am not embarrassed to admit I watch it. However, the only juvenile/infantile moron around here is someone who decides to insult someone else because of what he/she chooses to watch when lounging.

I am with you Trinity...never watched any of this...shameful people on the show and those that watch...MTV just celebrated 30 years and this is what they have to say for it...VH1 has videos and many from the golden age of MTV....pitiful excuse for young adults and a tv station/program...

I am proud to say that I've never watched a minute of this crap. I don't contribute to the downfall of American society.

This CRAP is on TV and gets good ratings (from juvenile/infatile morons) and good television shows are getting axed. It's no wonder our country is going to h*ll in a handbasket.

I want MTV to go back to being MTV!
