John Krasinski must have spent hours in the mirror perfecting those moves! Hitting the Lip Sync Battle stage on Thursday, April 16, to go up against pal Anna Kendrick, the former Office star proved that he could fit in with the likes of any boy band.
"Jimmy Fallon thinks he's a real good friend of Justin Timberlake's, but he ain't this good of a friend, because I'm doing 'Bye Bye Bye,'" the actor, 35, told Lip Sync Battle host LL Cool J before launching into 'N Sync's 2000 hit, complete with spot-on marionette choreography.
As Kendrick and show hype girl Chrissy Teigen watched open-mouthed at the performance, LL Cool J couldn't help but wonder just how Krasinski (one of Lip Sync Battle's executive producers) managed to perfect his JT moves. "That's a marionette that I do every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday," Krasinski quipped. "It's kind of my thing.” (Though it wasn't easy: The actor half-joked that he needed to ice his knee after the performance.)
Not to be outdone, Pitch Perfect's Kendrick, 29, followed up with her version of One Direction's "Steal My Girl."
We won't spoil the performance for you, but keep an eye out in the clip above for a surprise appearance from Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt, that the actor himself couldn't believe!
