‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Recap: Khloe Kardashian Worries Lamar Odom Will Die, ‘There’s Only One Outcome’

Oh, no she did not! The Kardashian sisters flew into a collective rage during the Sunday, August 21, episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians — all thanks to their archenemy Blac Chyna kinda-sorta-maybe releasing an emoji of herself slapping Kylie Jenner. Meanwhile, Rob Kardashian was caught in the middle, and Lamar Odom‘s recovery took a dramatic turn for the worse, causing Khloé Kardashian to fear for his life.

Also, important update. Scott Disick tricked Kourtney Kardashian into eating a bunch of gluten despite her allergy, and spoiler alert: She pretended to get sick. So, jokes on him / ya burnt, etc.

Kylie Sounds Off on That Infamous Chyna Emoji

OK, so here’s the deal: Chyna has a newish line of emojis (because who doesn’t?) and released a slightly incriminating one of herself slapping someone who looks a lot like Kylie Jenner. Somewhat surprisingly, Kourtney decided to confront her brother, admitting that she “yelled” at him. “This was the first time that made me question Chyna’s intentions,” the mother of three told the camera. “I just had to call Rob, and Rob’s like, ‘It’s not Kylie, when has she ever slapped Kylie?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know,’ but I just really upset him.”

Rob threatened to hit the red carpet and tell everyone that he has the “worst” most “disgusting” family, but good news: Kylie was pretty chill about the whole thing. “I really think it looks like this girl that [Chyna] hates, that she had a public fight with,” the youngest Jenner told Khloé, later explaining to the camera, “I’ve talked to Chyna, and I really don’t think the emojis are of me. I’m really tired of my family fighting with Rob over every little thing.”

Kim Konfronts Kourtney, Is Basically a Therapist

Wondering about Kim Kardashian‘s take on the Rob + Kourtney drama? The Selfish author decided to broker the peace between her siblings after Kourtney revealed that she felt bad for yelling at her bro. “I know what it’s like to be having your first baby and people aren’t supportive,” she said. “It took years for people to like Scott.”

The siblings agreed to chat via phone, and Rob went on the defense before accepting his sister’s apology: “The negative assumptions, it’s just not necessary. It’s just, talk to me normally and calmly, because I don’t come screaming at any of you guys for anything you guys have done ever in your lives.”

Checking in With Lamar

It sounds like Lamar’s recovery has taken a turn for the worse. The good news is that the basketball pro expressed interest in getting back to his favorite sport, but Khloé had doubts: “Going to a basketball camp is a big step, and I don’t want to set him up for failure,” she told the camera. “With everything going on lately, there’s just not a lot of trust there.”

Even more concerning, Lamar told Khloé that he’s having “really bad cravings,” and refused to talk to anyone about it. “You can’t do anything if the person’s not willing to take control of their life and get help,” she said.

Things got worse when Khloé got a call from Lamar’s friend, who said he was hanging out with “bad guys again.” The couple ended up talking off-camera, and the next day Khloé told Kim and Kourtney that their conversation went so badly she didn’t “want to talk about it.” She even implied that Lamar could be too far gone for help: “I said, ‘You know, like, you could die right now, right?'” the star said to her sisters. “Why do I treat him better than I treat myself?”

Kourtney tried to make Khloé feel better by talking about her own experience with Scott (who’s also battled addiction), saying, “It’s hard, because at the same time you don’t want the person to die.” Khloé‘s super depressing response? “That’s just what’s gonna happen. I feel really strongly there’s only one outcome.”

So sad. Keep your thoughts with Lamar, everyone.
