NBC gets a touch of HBO flair! Girls creator, director, and star Lena Dunham is set to host the March 8 episode of Saturday Night Live and taped a series of promos with recurring cast member Kate McKinnon.
The breakout funny woman hammed it up with the quirky SNL star, declaring they were "two young feminists" and discussing Dunham's popular comedy.
"I would love to be on the show one day," McKinnon said of Girls. "I don't need to have a big part, I could just be a character who moves in with Hannah and follows her around and does everything with her."
When Dunham realized that such a role would, in fact, be a big part, McKinnon came up with a new scenario.
"What if I was just a person who killed Hannah and lived as her?" she quipped.
In another cut, McKinnon goes topless on camera with a blurred-out censor over her boobs, complaining that Dunham had said they were "going to wear the same outfit."
SNL has spoofed the acclaimed series before with McKinnon playing the role of the highly-sexual Jessa, and Tina Fey pretending to be the "fifth friend" Blerta from Albania.
Lena Dunham's episode of Saturday Night Live airs on Saturday, March 8 at 11: 30 p.m. ET.
