Thank goodness for that five-second delay!
Melissa Leo dropped the F-bomb during her emotional, off-the-cuff acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress at Sunday's Oscars.
"Yeah, I am kind of speechless," the actress, 50, said at the podium after thanking her family and her colleagues working on The Fighter.

Referencing Oscar winner Kate Winslet, she said, "When I watched Kate two years ago, it looked so f***ing easy."
(During the telecast, her cuss-word was already bleeped out.) Leo instantly covered her mouth following the gaffe as the crowd laughed.

She pulled herself together and rounded up her thank-you speech -- even flirting with presenter Kirk Douglas, 94. "You're much more beautiful than you were in the Fighter," Douglas joked.
Her reply: "You're pretty good looking yourself. What are you doing later on?"
Oscar co-host Anne Hathaway was tickled by Leo's unscripted blooper.

"Wow, I thought the 'F' stood for 'The Fighter.' It's the young and hip Oscars!"

6Melissa Leo felt bad about the remark. Plus she is still a winner. Leo is carrying away an Oscar. Joe Biden is Vice President and he got away with throwing a bomb. Anyone ever hear Richard Nixon's tapes in the White House. No one carried about Watergate. Voters were angry when they found out Nixon used the word while speaking inside the White House. She did a great job in the fighter, but her dress is awful and it seems like her speech went on forever. Oscar fashion reviews soon on: http://savvyspice.blogspot
Totally without class. You don't make that kind of mistake in a situation like this; it's not like she had no time to prepare.

Who cares, she made a mistake, she's not the first person to curse during a live telecast of an award show. Give her a break!
This woman is the real thing. It's great to see someone win who didn't think she ever had the chance to win because she wasn't "hollywood". She's a fantastic actress, and truly brings real life to the screen. Kudos to she, who breaks the rules of the oscars' and celebrity's illusional propriety!
