America's Got Talent will have to mount a very special talent search: for a new judge.
After five years, Piers Morgan is leaving the hit NBC reality competition, he announced on Wednesday's Piers Morgan Tonight.

It's that CNN talk show (which replaced the departed Larry King Live) that prompted Morgan to vacate the judges' table he shares with Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne.
The 46-year-old British journalist explained that he needs to focus his attentions on his evening talk show -- particularly with election season around the corner.
The most recent season of Talent wrapped in September.

7Jeremy Clarkson should replace Piers.
Now if we can get America's Got Talent to leave NBC...
Piers Morgan is the only judge looking for high quality acts, Howie Mandel chooses weird acts that are gross or one shot wonders. Morgan's talk show is really good; I'm glad he's sticking with it.
Good! The show is called "America's Got Talent", not "Britain's Got A$$holes"!
I really like Piers and am sorry to see him leave. I love Simon, and I think that Piers is a lot like Simon :) I wish him luck in his talk show that he is doing so well in now. I know that he really takes any job that he has to heart.
I like Piers and am sorry to see him leave. I think people like him and Simon make the programs more interesting. I don't believe is being unkind to contestants but at the same time, don't think the Paula types keep the programs interesting (nothing against Paula).
This makes me so happy I could squeal!! Piers has gotten exceptionally rude and offensive on that show. My husband and I love the show, and all last season we kept saying that Piers has just gotten mean for the sake of mean. At least when Simon Cowell is mean, it's for a good reason. This guy's just a jerk.
